Cozy Home Décor: Making a Unique Bouclé Accent Chair with Fabric Paint

Step 1: Prepare your supplies

Ensure the bouclé accent chair that you’re going to paint is clean, dry, and free of dust or debris. Select which Soft Fabric Paint colors you’d like to use, remove the cap and inner safety seal, replace the cap, and shake the bottle well. Pour a small amount of paint onto your paint palette. This project uses soft pastel colors to complement the textured bouclé upholstery! 

Step 2: Apply Soft Fabric Paint to chair

Apply Soft Fabric Paint to the bouclé accent chair as desired. For this project, we’ve created playful artwork featuring butterflies, flowers, shooting stars, and other abstract shapes. If you’re not comfortable painting freehand, try using stencils to guide your designs. Apply one light coat of paint at a time, allowing the paint to dry completely between coats. Remember to rinse your paintbrush with water when switching between paints to avoid muddying colors.
