Can you dye velvet?

Velvet can be dyed with Tulip Dye Pods, Permanent (hot water) Dyes, and Tulip One-Step dyes. Velvet is typically made of natural fibers such as cotton, silk, or rayon, making it an excellent substrate for dyeing. We do not recommend our products for dyeing synthetic fabrics other than nylon.
