How does original color of fabric affect the end result?

Suppose you want to tie dye the fabric a darker color. In that case, we recommend using a dye color within the same color family as the existing color on the fabric (i.e., from Light Pink to Fuchsia). Any color outside of the color family may turn muddy or brown. Remember, color mixing rules will apply.
