Custom Dog Bowl Painting Tutorial
Treat your furry family members to a tasty meal served up in their very own customized bowls! In this painting tutorial, Scribble & Script shows you how easy it is to personalize a set of dog (or cat) ceramic dishes with Tulip® Dimensional Paint. You can create their names or funny words and phrases; work up that creative appetite while your pet works up theirs waiting for those fancy new food and water bowls.
What you need:
- Tulip Dimensional Paint (desired colors)
- Ceramic pet dishes
- Chalk pencil
- Paper towels
Choose Dimensional Paint colors that will match nicely with your color scheme. (Or not – it’s totally up to you!) Once you’re ready to paint, make sure the dishes are clean and free from any dust or debris.
Shake your bottle of Dimensional Paint to prep, and practice on scrap paper or a paper towel first to get a feel for the paint flow. If you’re not comfortable freehand painting on the bowl, you can use a chalk pencil to first write out your wording, then trace over it with paint.
If you happen to have a mishap when painting, don’t stress! You can wipe away the paint with a damp paper towel and start over. Once you’re happy with your design, let it dry completely before using.
Wasn’t this painting tutorial super easy?! You can customize dog bowls you already have to make them new again!
We’re positive your pup (or kitty) will love their set of custom bowls. Now it’s time to chow down!
