Supplies Needed

Step 1: Prewash and dry matching family outfits

Before you start painting your matching family outfits, prewash and dry the fabrics without fabric softener. Insert cardboard between layers of fabric to prevent the Color Change Paint from seeping through. Remove the cap and safety seal, replace cap, and shake the paint bottles well. Pour a small amount of Color Change Paint onto your palette.

Step 2: Paint the shirt for your matching family outfit

For this project, Molly Ferrerio is using Neon Pink to Magenta, Orange to Red, Yellow to Tan, Mint to Sea Green, and Sky Blue to Purple paints to create cute rainbow patterns on her matching family outfits! The boy's shirt features a single rainbow on the pocket. Rinse your paintbrush in water when switching between paints to avoid muddying colors. Apply 1-2 light coats of paint as needed.

Step 3: Paint shorts for your matching family outfit

In this matching family outfit, the boy's shorts are covered in colorful rainbows! Use a small paintbrush to paint rainbows across the shorts.

Step 4: Paint the dress for your matching family outfit

Allow your matching family outfits to dry completely, approximately 4 hours. Once dry, take your finished project into sunlight and watch as the color changes! Fabrics can be washed (inside out) after 72 hours.
