Puffy Paint Easter Egg Rocks

Rocks are an unexpected, yet perfect canvas for creating beautiful Easter egg designs. The best part about creating Easter egg rocks with Tulip Dimensional Paint a.k.a. Puffy Paint is that you can keep them for years to come as special keepsake treasures. With just a few simple steps and supplies, you can create beautiful Easter egg rocks that can be used as decoration, hidden for others to find or given as special Easter gifts. This is a great craft to do with the entire family.

What you need:

• Tulip Dimensional Paint in variety of colors
• Rocks - if you have a hard time finding rocks outside, visit your local landscape store and look for river rocks
• White acrylic paint
• Paint brush
• Paper plate or paint palette 
• Sealant (optional)

 Cover your rock with two coats of white acrylic paint using a paint brush. If your rock is not egg shaped, just paint an egg shape on the rock with the white paint. Let dry completely. 

Select Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint colors for the background and add color selections to a paint palette or paper plate. With a paint brush, add each color to the rock. If you want a more opaque background, add several layers of the painted dimensional paint, letting each layer dry in between. 

Create designs and patterns on the rock using Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint. Let dry completely. Tip: If you make a mistake, not to fear, you can simply wipe away the fabric paint using a Q-Tip. 

If you’d like, you can add a protective spray sealant over the finished rock designs, but it’s not required.
