Materials You'll Need:

Instructions:
Step 1: Prep Your SheetPrewash and dry your sheet, then choose your folding technique
Firstly, ensure to prewash and thoroughly dry your kid's cotton bedsheet. Decide on the folding method; here, we follow Oh Yay Studio’s accordion tie-dye technique.

Step 2: Mix the Tie-Dye Solutions
Prepare the tie-dye solutions

Adhering to the package directions, prepare the tie-dye solutions. Fill each bottle up to the marked “Water Fill” line, then securely reattach the nozzle and cap. Shake each bottle energetically for at least a minute. Remove the cap again, add the Glow Mixer up to the “Mixer Fill” line, replace the nozzle and cap, and shake for an additional minute.

Step 3: Application
Apply the dye solution to each section of the bedsheet.

With gloves on, meticulously apply your chosen Glow Tie-Dye color to every section of the folded bedsheet, ensuring it seeps into all the nooks and crannies. While applying, continuously work the solution into the fabric and shake the bottle periodically for even glow pigment distribution. Ensure the bedsheet is dry before application for optimal results.

Step 4: Drying & Washing
Allow the sheet to air dry for 24 hours, then machine wash and dry.

After the application, unfold the bedsheet and lay it flat to air-dry for 24 hours, allowing the dye to set in. For even drying, flip the sheet midway through the drying process. Upon drying, wash it with cold water and mild detergent on a delicate setting, then air-dry.

Step 5: Eye Holes Creation
Measure and cut out eye holes

Have your child wear the sheet, marking the fabric where their eyes align. Cut out the eye holes carefully, and voila, your glowing ghost costume is ready to steal the show! Charge the glow pigments by exposing the costume to sunlight for 30-60 seconds or use a flashlight for night-time recharging.
