·       Tulip Brush-On Fabric Paint

You may want to pre-wash the pet stocking to help the paint better adhere to the fabric. Gather your stocking, paints, brushes, water, cardboard and everything you’ll want to create this fun pet Christmas stocking. You can even keep your pet nearby to help guide you through your creation. It will be their stocking after all!

Step 2: Paint Pet's Name on Top of Stocking

Place cardboard piece inside stocking to prevent the paint from seeping through to the back. Start by painting your pet’s name at the top of the pet Christmas stocking. Add any extra details to the name if you want. Let dry.

Step 3: Paint Paw Prints on Pet Stocking

Paint paw print shapes all over pet stocking to start as a base for your design. Let dry completely.

Step 4: Add Painted Details to Paw Prints

Hand painting second color onto blue paw prints.

To add some dimension, paint a second color over dried paw prints. You can even add shadows around the painted prints. Let dry.

Step 5: Add Extra Painted Designs to Pet Stocking

Use stamps and paintbrush to add other fun designs like stars, snowflakes, dog bones, clouds, swirls or whatever you think your pet would want on their stocking. Place the stocking in a safe spot to dry completely. This might take a few hours. Once dry, your pet Christmas stocking is ready to hang by the chimney with care. Now stand back and admire your work. Your new pet Christmas stocking is sure to bring joy and whimsy to your holiday decorations and is a wonderful keepsake for years to come.
