If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day gift idea that’s beautiful and meaningful, we’ve got you covered! With the Tulip Painted by Me Plate Painting Kit, some pretty stamps and your creativity, you’ll have an heirloom set in no time.

Supplies:

Tulip Painted by Me Plate Painting Kit

• Protective surface cover

• Water cups for rinsing brushes

• Aprons or old T-shirts (to protect clothes)

• Stamps in designs of choice

• Paper towels

Step 1: Prep Your Plates & Work Area

Prewash and dry plates per instructions from kit. Cover your table to catch any paint spills.

Step 2: Begin Painting!

Hand holding stamp with paint and pressing onto white dinner plate.

Before painting, if you want, take a moment to brainstorm or look through some inspiration for Mother’s Day gifts. Let the creativity begin! We used some fun stamps to make it easy to decorate and for uniformity. Apply paint to stamps with a brush. Test first on a piece of paper to make sure you know how much paint and pressure to apply. You can also paint your plates freehand, use stencils or whatever you like. Remember, there’s no right or wrong here. And mistakes are easily cleaned up with glass cleaner or warm water before the plates are oven baked.

Step 3: Bake & Let Cool

Partially painted white plate on brown tabletop.

Once you are done with the painting, follow the instructions from the kit on how to bake your Mother’s Day plates to make them food, microwave & dishwasher safe.
