Quick & Easy Holiday Sweatshirt with Fabric Spray Dye
Creating a custom holiday sweatshirt can be a fun and creative project to showcase your festive spirit. With just a few supplies and creativity, you can make a striped fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt featuring tape-resist snowflakes. Follow this easy tutorial to craft your own!
Supplies:
· White 100% cotton sweatshirt
· Tulip Confetti 7-Color Spray Dye Kit
· Plastic table cover to protect your workspace
· Painter’s tape
· Scissors
Step 1: Prepare Fabric & Mix Dyes

Prewash and dry sweatshirt. Lay down a plastic cover or tarp to protect your area from any dye spills or overspray. Put on your gloves to keep your hands clean. Add water to dye bottles and shake to mix. Confirm all dye powder has completely dissolved. Make sure your sweatshirt is clean and dry for best results. Apply painter’s tape onto sweatshirt in large snowflake shapes to work as a pattern resist. Place cardboard or plastic between layers of sweatshirt to protect dye from seeping through to back.
Step 2: Spray on Dyes

Spray on your dyes in your desired design, spraying over tape snowflake designs. Be sure to apply dye generously, but do not oversaturate fabric. Be careful to not overlap colors. Once you are done applying spray dye, remove painter’s tape from fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt. Cover sweatshirt with plastic and let set 6-8 hours.
Step 4: Rinse, wash and dry

Using cold water, rinse out all excess dye until water runs clear. Wash and dry separately according to product instructions.
Step 4: Reveal!

Congratulations! You've just created a custom striped fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt with festive snowflakes. Wear it proudly during the holiday season or gift it to a friend or loved one for a personalized gift.
