Make Your Own Vote T-shirt with Fabric Paint Markers

Custom Vote T-shirt with Glitter Markers

Rock the vote this year in your very own style! Let your patriotic spirit shine with a custom-made T-shirt created with Tulip Glitter Fabric Paint Markers. Artist Steffi Lynn will show you just how easy it is to design and make your own vote T-shirt in just a few steps.

What you need:

- Tulip Glitter Fabric Paint Markers

- T-shirt of choice

- Pencil and paper

- Ruler

- Masking tape

- Chalk pencil (optional)

Prewash and dry shirt

Tulip Fabric Paint Markers work on both light and dark fabrics, so feel free to choose whatever color shirt you want to rock the vote in. Make sure it’s prewashed and dried (without fabric softener) before starting your project.

Sketch design on paper

First sketch out your design on a piece of paper. You can use this “Vote for our Future” design or come up with your own quote art. Get creative with it in your favorite style!

Decide how you want to transfer design onto shirt

There are a few ways you can transfer your design onto your T-shirt. You can simply use your sketch as a reference and freehand your design straight onto the fabric, or you can use a chalk pencil first, that way you can wipe away any mishaps before you get started. If your shirt is a light color, you can place your sketch under the first layer and trace over it with your markers. Go with what you feel most comfortable with.

Create design on T-shirt

If you want your design to be at a diagonal like Steffi Lynn’s, you can use masking tape and a ruler to lay down lines of tape on your shirt to help guide your design between each line of text. Prep your Glitter Fabric Paint Markers according to instructions, then trace over/draw your design onto your shirt with your chosen colors.

Make Your Own Vote T-shirt

Once your design completely dries, it’s time to put on your shirt and go out and vote! And don’t forget to tag us on social @tulipcolorcrafts and show us what you’re making with Tulip Fabric Paint Markers!
